I'm wondering what would be the minimum system requirements for building a linux system dedicated to dvb satellite work?
I have some old hardware that I could use to build a computer that I would use with the prof7500, the genpix skywalker-1, and, maybe, the old VP-1020 twinhan.
Would an old computer that was working well for older versions of windows before XP, like 95,98,ME, would that old computer be good enough to run whatever apps are needed to make this work?
I've also got a stack of old Linux CD's and DVD's that I've downloaded over the years, can I use one of the older versions, or do I need to get a new one? And, how can I keep it light weight enough for the old hardware?
Lots of questions, any and all help and ideas appreciated.
