I downloaded puppy linux the other day to check it out and was amazed how fast it was because the whole os loads up and runs out of memory. I then wondered if I could get it to run with stv090x-scan. I spent 2 days figuring out how to compile the s2-liplian-v37-udl modules into the tree because there were dependences that was not in the puppy repositories and I had to download their sources and compile to get them to install in puppy linux. I installed the puppy os to my hard drive so I could install everything needed to get it compiled.
I finally got it working and seems to work good. My next step is to get it installed on a usb stick and see how it runs. Everything stills loads up and runs in memory with the hard drive install just like a usb stick. I hope it will not make any difference.
The puppy linux install is Slackware slacko-5.5-PAE using kernel 3.4.17-PAE.
