linux scan-s2 with prof 7500 on G28 @89w c-band

Hi guys,

I'm running Linux Mint 17.1, stock drivers, using a Prof 7500.  I've got a transponders scan from windows (crazyscan) for Galaxy 28 @89w, and now I'm trying to use that as input to scan-s2, to generate a channels.conf for use with VDR.  But for some reason it isn't working for Galaxy 28.

scan-s2 works on 133.0w (EWTN DVB-S and DVB-S2) and 103.0w (Decades/Heroes DVB-S2) transponders that I tried, but the prof 7500 refuses to lock for these transponders on Galaxy 28.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I did:

Code:

hg clone https://bitbucket.org/CrazyCat/scan-s2
cd scan-s2/
less README
make
cat 89-freq.txt
# 89-west @ 89W
# 4 transponders
S2 3820000 H 30000000 5/6 20 8PSK # -32 dBm, 11.9 dB; 15:00 21/2/2015
S2 3860000 H 30000000 5/6 25 8PSK # -30 dBm, 11.3 dB; 15:00 21/2/2015
S2 3900000 H 29860000 9/10 20 8PSK # -29 dBm, 11.3 dB; 15:00 21/2/2015
S2 4140000 H 30000000 5/6 20 8PSK # -39 dBm, 10.8 dB; 15:00 21/2/2015

And now I try to scan:
Code:

./scan-s2 -x 0 -l C-Band -5 -o vdr -v -U 89-freq.txt
API major 5, minor 10

Here is the output when I first connect my Prof 7500 tuner.  Note, I'm using stock Linux Mint 17.1 "Rebecca" drivers, not updatelee drivers:
