I very rarely do blind scan, except via Crazyscan, however I just tried to use EBS {ver EBS 2.1.0.0} to do a blind scan, and I just happened to notice that whenever it is called, my computer tries to connect to some chat program at DVBHISPANO {left out the www and com so it won't take anyone there}, which is at 198.20.103.237, and after that, it goes to 173.194.46.8 {haven't figured this one out yet}.
Every time I call this version of EBS, it goes there. I tried another version of EBS {2.1.0.4}, and it does NOT try to go to these sites. Since EBS uses crazyscan files, I tried running a couple versions of Crazyscan, and I didn't see it try to go there either. Just when this one version of EBS is called.
Anyway, I have no idea of what's going on here, but it made me a bit nervous for a program to call up a chat site. {The site itself isn't a chat site, but EBS tries to connect via chat.}. I don't know if it's actually EBS that's doing this, or one of the crazyscan files or other files that were used when the software was written, or what, but it only seems to happen when this one version of EBS is called. I have 2 versions of EBS on this particular computer, one dated 8-21-11 and one dated 8-22-11, and the one with the newer date is the older version number, which is strange, making me wonder if I picked up an infected version of EBS at one point.
Anyway, just a FYI, in case anyone else happens to be using this old version of EBS.
